    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the intensification of the global-warming debate due to the occurrence of hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. It argues that there is no possibility that global warming and hurricanes are connected to one another. But it also states that there is a good reason to think that global warming might make the hurricanes more powerful. It discusses two studies that suggest the increasing intensity of tropical cyclones worldwide.
