- Abstract:
The article reports on the guidance made by the American Veterinary Medical Association for veterinary surgeons and others who might encounter cases of canine influenza in Great Britain. The guidance points out that because the disease is newly emerging, most dogs will be susceptible to infection. Most dogs will show a mild form of the disease, although some develop a severe form that is accompanied by pneumonia. It also gives prevention on the spread of the virus, handling infected animals and hygiene procedures.
