    • Abstract:
The article reports that Sage Hooten, a self-professed animal lover, used homemade invitations to ask her birthday-party guests to give her money instead of toys or clothes. She then donated some of the money to Georgia Southern's Center for Wildlife Education and the Lamar Q Ball Jr. Raptor Center. The centers received $185 from Sage last month. She had enough left over to make another donation--as she promised her party guests she would--to the Humane Society of Chatham/Savannah. It is informed that the center, which opened in 1997, is on five acres in the middle of Georgia Southern's campus. It features six habitats, including a wetlands area, a mountain display, and a forest.
