      The article presents a homily regarding the transfiguration of Jesus Christ, to be given on February 26, 2006. Despite Peter the Apostle's misstep, the transfiguration text is a serious one, wherein we see for ourselves the true nature, the supreme authority given by God to Jesus Christ. As powerful as were Moses and the law and Elijah and the prophets, Jesus' authority as the Son of Man is far greater. As God said at Jesus' baptism, so God confirms at Jesus' transfiguration, "This is my Son, the Beloved."
