Developing student filmmakers at BCC.

This article presents information on the Media Technology program of Bronx Community College in New York. The Media Technology Program seeks to teach students about various areas of the film industry and is able to do so with state-of-the-art equipment paid for during the past seven years, by an annual grant of $100,000 from the Vocational and Applied Technology Education Act Program of Carl D. Perkins. Equipment that has been purchased includes: a non-linear editing system, digital television studio production equipment, digital television field television cameras, state-of-the-art sound recording and editing equipment and digital effect software for animation classes.
