      This article focuses on proteomics. In doing so, it discusses the function of proteins in the body. Then, it discusses the development of proteomics and its potential applications in the different in the science. It also describes the different technologies used in the proteomics. Considerable attention is also given to the role that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will play in regulating the proteomics revolution. Finally, the article outlines trends in proteomics research.
