This article presents a list of criminal cases from around the U.S. involving insurance adjusters which does not auger well for the cleanup process from the many hurricanes causing damage across the South this year. The list includes criminal charges and sentences for Edward Colon, who allegedly cheated insurers with false claims, Mitchell Markowitz, who helped to overvalue losses, Neil Roeder, who took $20,000 to exaggerate damages, Nancy Romano, for embezzling $1.5 million from AAA Michigan, Linda Wiser, for issuing payment for bogus claims and others.
