    • Abstract:
This article argues that mathematics may be better appreciated through the beauty of the language in which problems are written, respect for the cultures of others and through relevance to students' lives. The first chapter of the Kama Sutra had contained mathematics problems but, as the centuries passed, the first chapter had been removed. Two mathematical problems embedded in romantic stories, typical of India's culture, are presented. A mathematics problem translated into the evolution of the love affair between Romeo and Juliet is presented.
