      This article focuses on the claims made by revolutionary journalist and orator Leon Trotsky about the theory of permanent revolution in 1905. Trotsky returned to Russia from European exile in February 1905. He not only propagated the program and slogans of revolutionary social democracy, he also became more intimately involved in the strike movement.
