      This article presents information on the literary works of author and playwright Patricia Clapp. Clapp, who lived in New Jersey, divided her time between writing books and working in community theater. Recent works include a history of her community theater and an unpublished autobiography. Clapp, also an adult author, is best known for her acclaimed children's novels including Constance: A Story of Early Plymouth (1968), which was a National Book Award runner up.
