Reports that magnesium prevents inflammation in blood vessels that causes heart disease. Study conducted by researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina that showed that people who consumed less than 50 percent of the recommended daily allowance for magnesium were almost three times as likely to have high C-reactive protein levels; Foods with high levels of magnesium, including bananas, soy, beans, seeds, whole grains, and others.
