    • Abstract:
This article reports that Iron Mountain Inc. (IMI) had begun inspecting its four off-site data storage facilities in the New Orleans, Louisiana area and had yet to find any computer disks or tapes that were directly damaged by Hurricane Katrina. In a statement posted on its Web site, the company said that it cannot determine as to what extent archived data has been compromised until a full evaluation can be completed. IMI has set up a command and control center in Atlanta, Georgia to coordinate its operations in the disaster area. And the company is learning some lessons for managing future crisis situations.
