    • Abstract:
The article presents information on the history of New England. In 9000 B.C., early migrants from Asia reached the area that became New England. In A.D. 1000, Norse adventurers reportedly explored the area that became northern New England. In 1620, the Mayflower Pilgrims, heading to Virginia, were blown off course and landed at what became Plymouth. The Connecticut Colony was founded in 1639. In 1773, the Boston Tea Party spurred the English Parliament to pass strict laws in an effort to hurt New England's economy.
