قد شكلت الموسيقى الداخلية وسيلة اعتمد عليها الشعراء في نسج قصائدهم, فسمحت بتكثيف الأصوات وتناسقها وأظهرت قدرتها وانسجامها الدلالي التي لا يمكن عزلها عن نظامها اللغوي, فضلاً عن عدم ابتعادها عن الجو النفسي الذي يشعر به الشعراء, فكانت تعبيراً جلياً وضح أغراضهم الشعرية سواء أكان القصد منها رثاء أو مديحاً أو فخراً . وبذلك تكون الموسيقى الداخلية في النصوص الشعرية ليست حلية موسيقية - بل مقوماً من مقومات النبض الشعوري والإحساس بالمعاناة والتجربة لأن اللفظ أو العبارة إذا تكرر في المقطع الواحد أو القصيدة كلها، فلا شك أن هناك دلالة أو معنى ما يؤديه هذا التكرار، وهو التكثيف في المعنى وإيضاحه في نفس المتلقي.
