    • Abstract:
      The Fatimid state in the Levant was exposed to a Turkish military threat that was not taken into account, and in fact the matter confused its conditions in Egypt, and the state set its sights on eliminating this movement after resorting to several strategies, including political and military. The way to eliminate this movement after the issue of its owner became aggravated and his power became strong and his matter settled and the people of Damascus resentful against the Fatimid state gathered around his movement and support him and swore to him to do so, so the personality of Iftikin Al-Turki shined in the Levant amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm after he achieved victories over the Fatimids and broke their soldiers and defeated them in Ashkelon. It is clear that he had a high and brilliant reputation in the Fatimid court. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      تعرضت الدولة الفاطمية في بلاد الشام الى خطر عسكري تركي لم يكن في الحسبان وفي حقيقية الامر اربك اوضاعها في مصر ونصبت الدولة اعينها بالقضاء على هذه الحركة بعد اللجوء الى استراتيجيات عدة منها السياسية والعسكرية حيث ارفدت الدولة الفاطمية أموال كبيرة للأنفاق على حملاتها التي خرجت من مصر في سبيل القضاء على هذه الحركة بعد ان استفحل امر صاحبها وقويت شوكته واستقر امره والتف اهل دمشق الناقمين على الدولة الفاطمية حول حركته ومناصرته وحلفوا له بذلك فلمعت شخصية افتكين التركي في بلاد الشام وسط مناخ من الحماسة بعد ان حقق انتصارات على الفاطميين وكسر جنودهم وهزيمتهم في عسقلان وكان من الواضح ان يكون له صيتا عاليا ولامعا في البلاط الفاطمي.
