Linezolid/sodium-bicarbonate: Lactic acidosis, pancytopenia and lack of efficacy: case report.

A 77-year-old woman developed lactic acidosis and pancytopenia while being treated with linezolid for multidrug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. Despite receiving sodium-bicarbonate for lactic acidosis, her condition deteriorated, leading to her passing away from complications such as pleural effusion and ventricular arrhythmia.
