A 58-year-old White male presented with lesions on his index and middle finger for 3 months, which were diagnosed as syphilis through biopsies and cultures. Syphilis, caused by the spirochete T pallidum, primarily infects the skin and mucous membranes, with primary, secondary, and tertiary stages. The patient was treated with penicillin G for syphilis and antibiotics for superimposed bacterial infections. The case was submitted by Dr. Bilu Martin, a board-certified dermatologist in Florida.
