- Abstract:
The article explores the adoption of library services platforms (LSP) by academic and research libraries as a more comprehensive approach to resource management. It discusses reasons behind the increasing migration from integrated library systems to LSP by academic libraries, including the consolidation of the library technology industry. It describes the expanding roles of LSP as well as factors to be considered by libraries in forming partnerships with technology vendors.
