    • Abstract:
A recent study conducted at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore explored the relationship between early gestational glucose levels and the development of insulin resistance (IR) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in pregnant women. The research involved 167 pregnant women and found that higher glucose levels and greater variability in glucose levels during early gestation were associated with an increased risk of developing IR and GDM later in pregnancy. The study suggests that continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) could be a valuable tool for early screening of glycemic changes in pregnant women. [Extracted from the article]
