Rehau Automotive, a German Tier 1 supplier, has recently invested in a KraussMaffei ColorForm system to create front ends for electric and autonomous cars. The design of car front ends for battery-powered vehicles is undergoing a radical transformation due to the absence of large air outlets needed for internal combustion engines. The ColorForm system installed at Rehau's facility in Feuchtwangen includes various components for painting, automation, and metering, all integrated into the MC6 machine control system.
