- Additional Information
- Abstract:
Researchers from the Department of Pathology conducted a study in Lahore, Pakistan, to investigate the correlation between total serum cholesterol levels and the prognosis of acute ischemic stroke patients using the Barthel Index score. The study included 58 subjects with acute ischemic stroke and found that patients with total serum cholesterol levels above 200 mg/dl showed a better prognosis compared to those with levels below 200 mg/dl. The research suggests that high total serum cholesterol levels can be a marker for predicting outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients. [Extracted from the article]
