- Abstract:
Sabrina CarpenterIn October, pop singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, age 25, became the first artist in this decade to maintain three songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 music chart for eight consecutive weeks. The songs were “Espresso,” “Taste,” and “Please, Please, Please” from her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which debuted at number one when it was released in August. Carpenter’s massive fame began with “Espresso,” her first song to exceed 1 billion streams on Spotify. She said she does not write music to top charts. Instead, she called the success “sprinkles on top of the sundae.” [Extracted from the article]
