- Abstract:
Researchers at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital in Riga, Latvia, conducted a study on the impact of pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) on the quality of life (QoL) of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The study included 97 AF patients undergoing PVI, with significant improvements in QoL observed post-PVI across various domains. Factors such as gender, type of AF, and restored sinus rhythm were associated with improved QoL. The findings suggest that PVI positively influences the QoL of individuals with AF, highlighting the potential benefits of this therapeutic approach. [Extracted from the article]
