Clinical and Epidemiological Characteristics and Treatment of Scarlet Fever in Children in Modern Times. (English)
    • Abstract:
The article provides information about the clinical and epidemiological characteristics and treatment of scarlet fever, which is an epidemic outbreak among children and causes many complications, and also presents the experience gained in the study of this disease. Scarlet fever is one of the childhood infections known in pediatric practice, which is currently widespread. Streotococcal infection, the causative agent of the disease, is considered one of the most pressing health problems in all countries of the world and has a severe socio-economic impact on the state. This primarily harms children and adolescents. Although scarlet fever has emerged in the last decade as a mild infection, it does not lose the risk of serious complications and even fatal consequences. Although severe forms of the disease are uncommon among hospitalized children, the incidence of uneven scarlet fever remains high. At the moment, scarlet fever persists in preschool institutions. According to İnternational Health Orqanization, more than 600 thousand cases of scarlet fever were recorded worldwide in 2020. In 2022-2023, outbreaks of scarlet fever in Europe and the United States, as well as mortality from it, increased attention to this infection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
