- Abstract:
The article discusses the sound switching from rich food consumption to a diet rich in fiber as a first defense against anxiety. Topics covered include the physiological contribution of good sleep, exercise and a quality diet to curb anxiety and depression, and the value of a Mediterranean-style diet rich in fiber and plant polyphenols that cannot be digested by a human's gut enzymes but boost a human's beneficial microbes. Also noted are studies on the link of junk food to depression.
