The Documentarian Of Death.

An interview with photographer, author, and death and rituals documentarian Paul Koudounaris in 2024 is presented. When asked on his fascination with death, he cites his morbidity as a kid and later recognition of it as a separating border that is permeable. Koudounaris states that photographing the dead helped him to better articulate on death. He notes that pet cemeteries accord a family member animal that dies with the same dignity given to a human who dies.
