- Abstract:
Researchers at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in China conducted a study to evaluate a novel endovascular thrombectomy device in a modified swine model for iliac vein thrombosis. The study compared the safety and efficacy of the Zylox thrombectomy system with the AcoStream aspiration thrombectomy device, showing that the Zylox system resulted in less blood loss during thrombus removal. The research concluded that the modified swine model is suitable for testing endovascular devices, and further human trials are needed to verify the device's safety and efficacy.
