- Abstract:
Sufism is a unique experience in Islamic culture and has been a broad presence in Eastern and Western cultures, Especially with the spread of illuminative studies that focused on Sufism, especially through investigation, translation and study. It was pushing researchers to follow up on the relationship with religious and neighboring cognitive discourses, and to reveal the extent of influence and impact, then to examine similarity and distinction. Sufism has raised many problems since an early time, including those related to its intellectual vision that went beyond what was prevalent and established in Islamic culture, and some of which are related to its cognitive references and its connections to other incubators such as the Greek, Indian and ancient Persian. What concerns us in this research is to explain the reality of Sufism in general, then we will discuss the stages of the development of Sufism from practical asceticism to theoretical epistemological knowledge. - Abstract:
