- Abstract:
- Abstract:
In this work, a theoretical development is carried out to carry out Quality Control for qualitative variables using Exponentially Weighted Moving Averages, MEMPE. Quality control for this type of variables has been widely developed using the classic Shewhart methodology. The proposal considers the definition of statistics to carry out this type of control, through Monte Carlo simulation, average burst lengths, LRM, and the parameters for their application are obtained. A comparison is made of the behavior presented by the traditional methodology with the proposed methodology, which allows us to deduce that this proposal is more efficient. The MEMPE method allows controlling qualitative variables, with the advantage that when controlling a production process, if it goes out of control, this method provides an early warning that the variable under study has gone out of control.
