    • Abstract:
Scientists have discovered that birds, including Zebra Finches and Great Kiskadees, may dream while they sleep. Researchers have observed sleeping birds making movements that resemble lip-syncing and have recorded and compared neuron and muscle activity in sleeping birds. The sleeping song movements of Zebra Finches are fragmented and disjointed, resembling the process of learning a musical instrument, while the sleeping song of Great Kiskadees is loud and aggressive, resembling a nightmare. However, more research is needed to determine the specific sleep states experienced by birds and whether they are truly dreaming. [Extracted from the article]
