    • Abstract:
A case report discusses a 29-year-old woman who experienced a tacrolimus overdose while taking darunavir and ritonavir for HIV treatment. The woman had undergone a kidney transplant and was also living with end-stage renal disease caused by ANCA-associated vasculitis. The overdose occurred despite adjustments to the tacrolimus dosage, and it was attributed to pharmacokinetic interactions between the protease inhibitors and tacrolimus. The woman's antiretroviral regimen was subsequently changed, and no further overdoses or underdoses were observed. [Extracted from the article]
