      This research aims to analyze the visionary leadership style of school principals in improving the performance of teaching and education staff at Bakongan 2 Elementary School, South Aceh Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach, with descriptive research type. This research data was collected using data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis in this research uses data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Based on the results of this research, it is described that the school principal's visionary leadership style in improving the performance of educational staff at Bakongan 2 State Elementary School is carried out by making the principal himself the determiner of policy direction in realizing the school's vision and mission. Making himself an agent of change, spokesperson and trainer who is always involved in discussing education policies with his subordinates either through training or other discussions.       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kenerja tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan di SD Negeri 2 Bakongan Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang terdiri dari wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kenerja tenaga kependidikan di SD Negeri 2 Bakongan dilakukan dengan menjadikan diri kepala sekolah penentu arah kebijakan dalam mewujudkan visi dan misi sekolah. Menjadikan dirinya sebagai agen perubahan, juru bicara dan pelatih yang selalu terlibat dalam membicarakan kebijakan pendidikan kepada bawahannya baik melalui pelatihan maupun diskusi lainnya.
