- Abstract:
This article discusses a study that aimed to investigate the effects of pravastatin and L-arginine therapy on uteroplacental and fetal circulation in pregnant patients with increased uterine artery resistance in the second trimester. The study included 21 patients, and the therapy was administered from the second trimester until delivery. The results showed that the therapy achieved vasodilatory effects in umbilical and fetal circulation, postponing the deterioration in circulation due to vasoconstriction in uteroplacental circulation. The study concluded that this therapy could be beneficial in improving circulation in pregnant patients. [Extracted from the article]
