    • Abstract:
The 17th Paralympic Summer Games recently took place in Paris, France, and Chinese athletes performed exceptionally well. As of September 6, Team China was leading the medal tally, securing first position in both gold medals and total medals for the past five Paralympic Summer Games. The Chinese delegation consisted of 284 athletes, ranging in age from 15 to 48, participating in 302 events across 19 sports. China's success can be attributed to its emphasis on the protection of people with disabilities, athlete selection mechanism, rehabilitation and training measures, and the development of Paralympic sports projects. The country has also seen an increase in training facilities and venues for Paralympic sports. The promotion of disability sports is part of China's National Fitness Program and efforts to build a strong sports nation. Major international sporting events in China have contributed to creating a more inclusive environment for people with disabilities. [Extracted from the article]
