    • Abstract:
Pennsylvania American Water (PAW) and Towamencin Township are in the process of terminating the sale of the township's wastewater system. The sale was initially agreed upon with NextEra Water Pennsylvania, LLC, but NextEra Water exited the transaction and PAW stepped in as the buyer. However, the terms of the sale are substantially different from the new criteria set by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), so PAW and Towamencin have decided to terminate the agreement. PAW will now seek PUC approval for its proposed acquisition of the Elizabeth Borough Municipal Authority's wastewater system. [Extracted from the article]
