- Abstract:
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark aimed to examine the utilization of a public subsidy scheme for dental care services among socially vulnerable citizens in Copenhagen. The study analyzed data from the years 2013-2018 and found that while the utilization of the subsidy scheme was low, individuals who applied were likely to be granted and use the subsidy. Vulnerability was associated with greater utilization of the scheme, but a significant portion of those at risk of poor oral health did not take advantage of it. The study highlights the need to address social inequality in oral health and access to dental care. [Extracted from the article]
