      This article presents various excerpts related to the importance of speech. The excerpts are taken from different books. One excerpt states that those who meet men with smartness of speech, for the most part procure themselves hatred. Another excerpt states that for one word a man is often deemed to be wise and for one word he is often deemed to be foolish. Another excerpt states that without knowing the force of words, it is impossible to know men. According to another excerpt, the evil of men is that they like to be teachers of others.
