      The article discusses the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) approved by the United Nations in 2015. It highlights the importance of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) in modeling complex decision-making problems related to the SDGs. The article announces a special issue of the International Transactions in Operational Research (ITOR) dedicated to the latest developments and applications of MCDM to the SDGs. Researchers and practitioners are invited to contribute original research papers on topics such as MCDM methodologies, applications of MCDM to SDGs, decision support systems, uncertainty in MCDM, and artificial intelligence and machine learning in MCDM.
