      This article provides a comprehensive overview of various topics in sports psychology and their impact on athletes. It discusses the growth of sports psychology in Colombia and the need for research dissemination. The article also explores pain management in physically active women, the effectiveness of mental toughness programs for injured athletes, the role of real-time data in athlete performance, the relationship between pupil diameter and shooting performance in basketball, the prediction of self-compassion through sports, and the benefits of square dance in delaying cognitive decline. Additionally, the article presents two studies on the relationship between personality traits and burnout among athletes, as well as the impact of perfectionism on athletes' emotional cognition. Another study examines the relationship between personal values and physical activity in China. These findings have important implications for athletes and sports professionals.
