The role of the nation-state in unifying the Arab nation. (English)

تهدف الدولة القومية أن يتحقق للعنصر البشري في الدولة عامل التجانس المهياً للوحدة الوطنية في الداخل كالتجانس باللغة أو الأصل، أو اللغة والأصل معا وحتى بعامل وحدة المصالح، وما تهيأ له من وحدة المصير، أو بصورة أوضح هي التي تعبر عن اتجاه سياسي ثقافي في الوقت نفسه حيث يكون جميع أفراد شعبها يشتركون في لغة واحدة و عرق واحد و دين واحد، و هذا ما يجعلهم يعبرون عن أمة واحدة تضمنها حدود سياسية محددة تفصلها وتميزها عن الأمم الأخرى المجاورة لها. وقد ظهر هذا المصطلح نتيجة الخلاف الذي كان موجودا بين الكنيسة والدولة طوال القرون الوسطى و حتى بداية العصر الحديث إلى أن أذن الله بظهور فكرة القومية، والتي كانت منطلق جديد في الفكر السياسي، ظهر بعدها الدولة القومية و من أهم العوامل التي دعمت مفهوم الدولة القومية هي القضاء على فكرة ازدواج السلطتين وظهور فكرة السيادة محاربة الحكم المطلق وبلورة مبدأ القوميات، وضع القانون الطبيعي كفكرة سياسية.
