      This study analyzes the current status of agile methodology adoption in software development projects in Region 7 of Ecuador. Through surveys applied to companies, challenges, opportunities, and impact were identified, with Scrum being the most widely used. The results obtained demonstrate the relevance of these methodologies; therefore, it is recommended to invest in training and adaptive processes to leverage their benefits, driving economic and technological growth in the region.       En este estudio se analiza la situación actual de la adopción de metodologías ágiles en proyectos de desarrollo de software en la Región 7 del Ecuador. Mediante la aplicación de encuestas a empresas se identificó los desafíos, oportunidades e impacto, destacando a Scrum como la más utilizada. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la relevancia de estas metodologías, por tal motivo, se recomienda invertir en capacitación y procesos adaptativos para aprovechar sus beneficios, impulsando el crecimiento económico y tecnológico en la región.
