    • Abstract:
A study conducted by researchers at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, examined the presence of "glia-like" cells with fibroblast morphology in cultures derived from injured human brain tissue. The researchers found that these spindle-shaped cells were present in cultures from severely damaged brain tissue, while normal cultures were mainly composed of flat cells. The study suggests that the spindle-shaped cells may be activated precursors of glial cells and that their presence may be related to rapid cell proliferation under culture conditions. The research provides insights into the morphological changes that occur in astrocytes in response to pathological conditions. [Extracted from the article]
