The Royal Canadian Geographical Society is also hosting a silent auction to raise funds for its programs, offering unique trips and memorabilia as prizes. In the January/February issue, photographer Ryan Tidman explores the gathering of hundreds of thousands of gulls at Niagara Falls, presenting them as more than just scavengers. Additionally, the last expedition vessel of Sir Ernest Shackleton, the Quest, was recently rediscovered off the north coast of Labrador by a Royal Canadian Geographical Society team, and readers can learn more about this find in the November/December issue.
