    • Abstract:
A 40-year-old man with a history of hypertension, diabetes, and bronchial asthma, who was also a smoker, was treated for COVID-19 with remdesivir and verapamil. After initially improving, he experienced cough, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. Despite treatment with verapamil, he had a hypertensive crisis and his condition worsened. He developed a spontaneous pneumothorax and despite further treatment, including remdesivir, his oxygen saturation did not improve. He ultimately passed away due to cardiac arrest and COVID-19.
