    • Abstract:
Researchers at Jilin Agricultural University in Changchun, China have published a study on the antimicrobial peptide LR [ [GG] ]. The peptide was designed and synthesized, and its effectiveness against Gram-negative bacteria was tested. The researchers used genetic engineering methods to create a fusion protein, which displayed a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and showed excellent therapeutic effects in infection models. The mechanism by which LR [ [GG] ] causes bacterial death was found to be the disruption of the Gram-negative cell membrane. This research provides valuable insights into the potential use of LR [ [GG] ] as an antibiotic. [Extracted from the article]
