The wreck of Ernest Shackleton's final ship, Quest, has been discovered in the Labrador Sea. Shackleton had acquired the ship in 1921 with the intention of exploring the Arctic, but his plans changed and he headed to Antarctica instead. Unfortunately, Shackleton died of a heart attack aboard Quest in 1922. The ship went on to have its own storied career, including rescuing a crew off Greenland and searching for the missing polar explorer Roald Amundsen. The wreck of Quest was found resting on its keel with its broken main mast nearby, remarkably intact. [Extracted from the article]
