- Abstract: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the term coming from the scientific field of Behaviorism, which explains the association between environment, human behavior and learning, being a science, recently being applied as a method of intervention in Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Autism is used for children who exhibit certain types of behavioral and developmental deficits and excesses. In fact, “autism” is an observational diagnosis given to a set of behaviors. And recently the term “Autistic Spectrum Disorder” has been used, recognizing that children can have different degrees of impairment. The research is developed through a literature review, in a qualitative way, analyzing the data and specifying scientific methods that help in the development of individuals, where the article promotes awareness of the importance of early intervention, as well as an analysis about the diagnosis and the context of intervention in the environments, as well as the level of commitment.
