    • Abstract:
The Elliot Hospital's Neonatology Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in New Hampshire recently celebrated its 35th anniversary by reuniting families with doctors, nurses, and other providers. The NICU has been providing care for preterm infants as early as 23 weeks gestation for the past 35 years. It is a Level III NICU, one of only two in the state, and cares for over 600 critically ill and premature infants annually. The event included various activities for families and featured speeches from a junior at The Derryfield School and parents who expressed their gratitude for the care they received. However, the event also brought mixed emotions for some families, including one who experienced the loss of a child. Overall, the event was a celebration of the NICU's success in helping families and their babies thrive. [Extracted from the article]
