- Abstract: The National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) represented a new development perspective in Morocco. This study presents an analysis, from a gender perspective, of the intervention of this programme in the province of Chefchaouen. As main results to mention: the scarcity of initiatives aimed at women, in addition to their high concentration in terms of their spatial distribution. Likewise, it is revealed that women still do not have enough prominence in the "management" of the financial resources of the INDH. For this reason, greater support should be encouraged for initiatives promoted by women, and especially for the productive activities of women who live in rural areas. In short, despite the good intentions, the relevant problems of reconciliation, empowerment, and promotion of the autonomy of women have not been faced head-on. The role of women has been that of a simple passive beneficiary, and not that of decision-maker, participant, and promoter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
