    • Abstract:
• Abstract:
This article considers the problems that arise when deepening the affiliation of Viaje del Parnaso to self-satire; issues such as autobiographical intention. On the one hand whom does the lyrical voice criticize, whom does it mock, if at all? OOn the other hand that of self-criticism and the quality of Cervantes' poetry, i.e., the question as to whether Cervantes recognizes his mediocriy as apjoet. It proposes an approach to the lyrical voice and its developments based on narratological notions, in order to achieve a reading of the Cervantine poem as a «commendation [...] under a sarcastic expression to the contrary», in the words of Márquez Villanueva.
